On April 27, the “Face-to-Face Discussion between Chinese Embassies and Consulates in Foreign Countries and Private Enterprises”, which was jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and All China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), was held in CNQC. Among those at present were Wang Yongqing, vice-chairman of ACFIC, Wang Suilian, vice-governor of Shandong province and chairman of Shandong Federation of Industry and Commerce, Chen Lan, vice-director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Management under Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Lin, head of the senior counselor class mission and the Chinese ambassador to Slovakia, 16 Chinese ambassadors in foreign countries and representatives from 11 private enterprises in Qingdao. The discussion meeting was presided over by vice-governor Wang Suilian and ambassador Lin Lin. Chairman of the board of Guotsing Holding Group Co., Ltd. Du Bo and president of the board of Qingjian Group Co., Ltd. Wang Xianmao attended the meeting.

In his speech Vice-chairman of ACFIC Wang Yongqing gave special thanks to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all diplomats, leaders at all levels and entrepreneurs for their active participation in this exchange. Private enterprises, as an indispensible force for China’s economic construction, are of great significance to our country’s economic development. In the new era they face many difficulties in “going global”, which hinder their steps towards international market, we therefore should gradually solve these problems, he pointed out. A long-term system of exchange with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be established in the future to provide enterprises with protection and support, he said.

On the symposium, the participants watched the information engineering video monitoring system of CNQC and the publicity video of the company. President of CNQC Wang Xianmao gave the delegation a description of what progress had been made by CNQC in “going global”, and, on behalf of Qingdao International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector, made proposals on the difficulties met by enterprises in “going global”. He hoped the Chinese embassies and consulates in foreign countries would strengthen the coordination mechanism between private enterprises and the countries along the routes involved in Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, enhance the communication and coordination with China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation and support private enterprises in participating in the projects along the routes.
