Qingdao World Horticulture Exposition Venue Engineering Wins “Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize”

which is the Only One Winning Project of Shandong Province

        On March 30, the award-giving meeting of the 13rd China’s Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize was held grandly in Beijing. The 2014 Qingdao World Horticulture Exposition Venue Engineering won this prize and became the only one project winning this laurel in Shandong Province in this year. There were 38 engineering projects winning this prize in total all over China.

        Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize was initiated in 1999, which is the highest prize in the China’s civil engineering field and is referred to as “Scientific and Technological Innovation Engineering prize” in the construction industry. The 2014 Qingdao World Horticulture Exposition Venue Engineering winning the Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize is located in Baiguoshan, Qingdao. The Qingdao World Horticulture Exposition Venue Engineering has the park planning area of 241 hectares and total venue building area of 223.7 thousand square meters, mainly including: theme venue, plant venue, Tianshui integrated service center, Dichi integrated service center, horticulture culture center, world horticulture village exhibition service center, world horticulture building and other venue constructions. The whole engineering project is supported by scientific and technological innovation and fully uses more than 110 kinds of low-carbon and environmental protection technologies, featuring solar energy and wind energy source etc. and is made into a comprehensive engineering integrating popular science education, integration demonstration, low-carbon practices and wisdom leading. So far, the scientific and technological innovation achievements of Qingdao world exposition venue have been widely adopted in urban constructions and the core venue has been made into a horticulture type comprehensive site related to new energy and tourism integrating functions of horticulture sightseeing and popular science education.
